      UCONN ECE STUDENTS: Students who are applying for UCONN ECE credit for coursework they are enrolled in for next year are again reminded to submit their application forms to the Counseling Office on or before June 23rd of this month!  Applications are coming in at tortoise speed - very, very slowly.

                The end of the year Bible Club is Friday June 19th at 2:30.  New and old members are always welcome.  Come join in the fun of music, games and ice-cream!   RSVP to Sra.  Napierata.
               
                Volunteers are needed for the Pierce Baptist Nursing Home Annual Prom Fashion Show which is for the entertainment of the Pierce Baptist residents.  The event will take place on Tuesday, June 30th and volunteers will need to be there at 1:00, the show will begin at 2:00. Female volunteers are needed to model their prom dress or one borrowed from the Trink-et-Shoppe in Danielson. Male volunteers are needed to escort the models and would be asked to wear a dress pants (or the like), jacket and tie. If interested in taking part in this fun event which brings great joy to many, contact Mrs. Anne Hunter or Mrs. Rose Bertorelli at 774-9050 ext. 125 or 123.

                Pre-paid and reduced lunch cards will not be accepted in the dining hall after Friday, 6/19.  If you wish to purchase food during exam days on 6/22 & 6/23, be sure to bring money.

                LOOKING FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE?  Pierce Memorial Baptist Home will be sponsoring a FASHION SHOW for their residents on Tuesday,   June 30th at 2:00 p.m.  For more information or to sign up, call 779-9050, Ext. 123 or 125 and ask for Anne Hunter or Rose Bertorelli as soon as possible.

                Like to help others? Are you a student who is interested in working with the students with disabilities? Here are some possible roles!

  • PEER MENTOR: You can be a mentor to a student with disabilities by having a lunch together, waiting for a bus together, being a buddy in gym class, tutoring and many more ways!

(MENTOR is a role model or sage adviser who offers guidance as needed)

  • INDEPENDENT STUDY: Do you want to do research on a disability condition while you work with a student? You can turn your Study Hall into a rewarding experience!
