Analysis, Interpretation and Evaluation: Students will reflect upon, describe, analyze, interpret and evaluate their own and others' work

01.4.5.0.5 Students will identify possible improvements in the process of creating their own work.

01.4.5.5.1 Students will compare and contrast purposes for creating works of art
01.4.5.5.2 Students will describe and analyze visual characteristics of works of art using visual art terminology
01.4.5.5.3 Students will compare a variety individual responses to, and inter0retations of, their own works of art and those from various eras and cultures
01.4.5.5.4 Students will describe their own resp9onses to, and interpretations of, specific works of art
01.4.5.5.5 Students will reflect on and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of their own and others' work using specific criteria (e.g., technique, formal and expressive qualities, content)
01.4.5.5.6 Students will describe/analyze their own artistic growth over time in relation to specific criteria.
GRADES9 thru 12
01.4.5.9.1 Students will research and analyze historic meaning and purpose in varied works of art
01.4.5.9.2 Students will reflect critically on various interpretations to better understand specific works of art
01.4.5.9.3 Students will defend personal interpretations using reasoned argument
01.4.5.9.4 Students will apply critical and aesthetic criteria (e.g., technique, formal and expressive qualities, content) in order to improve their own works of art.
