Patterns: Students will discover, analyze, describe, extend and create patterns, and use patterns to describe mathematical and other real-world phenomena.

Note: Grade level is indicated in the 4th digit in the standard number
GRADESPRE-KINDERGARTEN thru 4
05.0.8.0.1 Students will reproduce, extend, describe and create patterns and sequences using a variety of materials and attributes
05.0.8.0.2 Students will use tables and graphs to display pattern data and explore a variety of ways to write rules that describe patterns and relationships
05.0.8.0.3 Students will develop and test generalizations based on observations of patterns and relationships.
GRADES5 thru 8
05.0.8.5.1 Students will describe, analyze, create and extend a wide variety of patterns
05.0.8.5.2 Students will represent and describe mathematical relationships using tables, rules, simple equations and graphs
05.0.8.5.3 Students will use patterns and relationships to identify the nth term in a sequence
05.0.8.5.4 Students will construct and analyze tables and graphs to identify patterns and relationships
05.0.8.5.5 Students will use patterns and relationships to represent and solve problems.
GRADES9 thru 12
05.0.8.9.1 Students will identify, describe and generalize numerical and spatial patterns
05.0.8.9.2 Students will identify, describe and generalize patterns from data and identify and analyze patterns of change
