1. Play a variety of small group initiatives which will progress to large group initiatives, then to trust activities
2. Review the different equipment (carabineers, pyramids, harnesses, helmets, ladders, etc)that will be used and where it should be stored
3. Demonstrate proper harness wear
4. Review the belay team and all of its jobs
5. Understand all of the commands
6. Demonstrate proper set up and break down of an element
7. Understand the importance of safety
8. Assist fellow students with all of the duties
9. Practice proper harness wear
10. Understand the techniques of belaying and back-up belaying
(as it pertains to bowling)
11. Perform proper approach in bowling
12. Demonstrate correct stance
13. Perform the different types of shots for different situations

Basic Sports and Recreation is a class for students who like recreational activities that also promote physical fitness. The purpose of this class is to expose the students to Bocce, Horseshoes, Shuffleboard, Ping Pong, Orienteering, Powerwalking and Project Adventure as possibilities for lifelong activities that will keep them physically active beyond their high school experience.
