The following topics are covered in the Library Orientation: a facility tour; library procedures/policies; identification and location of available print resources, acceptable computer use, on-line services via the library home page, and introduction to available search engines.

Students in the library orientation program will develop the ability to:
-- Locate print resources,
-- Use computers appropriately for research,
-- Follow library procedures/policies,
-- Use the library home page effectively,
-- Access available search engines.

All students will:
-- Receive a tour of the library,
-- Review library policies/procedures,
-- Receive instruction on the library home page,
-- Be introduced to available search engines.

Students will engage in research projects and/or follow-up activities provided by their English and other subject area teachers.
