400 This unit emphasizes learning the advanced concepts in composition and point of view, working with the elements of art and principles of design, working with appropiate drawing techniques for specific purposes, exploring a variety of media, learning the observational techniques of scale, proportion, and sighting, defining form through value, texture, and mark making, and observing various works and styles of art. 
500 When students are creating a self-portrait, they will develop the ability to:
