How does one use Photoshop to edit and manipulate photographs? 400 This unit emphasizes learning the effective/efficient use of Photoshop software, applying the elements of design in creating visual images, learning the visual and emotional qualities of color, learning the creative process: concept/ idea development, 400 gathering images from disk, web, scanners, and digital cameras, editing images for exposure, clarity, and color with Photoshop, and exploring Photoshop filters and effects. 500 When creating a self portrait with Photoshop, students will develop the ability to: 500 -- Use Photoshop's image editing tools effectively and efficiently, 500 -- Apply the elements of design, 500 -- Apply the visual and emotional qualities of color, 500 -- Exhibit effective presentation skills, 500 -- Demonstrate an understanding of the expressive qualities of a self-portrait, 500 -- Use digital recording tools to capture "resource images" for use in their work, 500 -- Organize their digital images efficiently. 500 600 All students will: 600 600 -- be instructed on the creative process, 600 -- be instructed on the use of Photoshop software, 600 -- be instructed on the use of color in visual design, 600 -- be instructed on the elements and principles of art, 600 -- recieve feedback on their own artwork, 600 -- be involved in group discussions of their work. 700 1.
