How Hardware and Software Work Together
Students in Computer Repair will develop the ability to:
--Explain how a computer requires both hardware and software to work
--Locate and identify the different hardware components inside and connected to a computer,
--Explain operating systems, what they are, and what they do,
--Explain how an Operating System interfaces with users, applications, and hardware,
--Explain how system resources help hardware and software communicate.
All students will:
--Realize that knowledge and mastery of specific hardware or software skills are not the end-goals of information technology courses,
--Understand that it is the student's ability to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate situations at home, school, or work, and then apply technology to solve problems and complete tasks efficiently and effectively, that is of lasting value.
