1) Students will identify musical phrases and appropriate breathing opportunities
2) Students will blend their sound and volume with that of thier section and the ensemble
3) Students will appropriately respond to conductor cues: Tempo, breathing, cues, cut-offs, phrasing
4) Students will define most commonly used dynamic vocabulary and abbreviations
5) Students will demonstrate a wide range of dynamic contrast
6) Students will use appropriate dynamics in relation to ensemble
7) Students will discuss dynamics in relation to style of repetoire
8) Students will react to dynamic changes cued by a conductor

1) Students will perform no less than 3 times per year demonstrating proper execution of fore-mentioned skills
2) Students will perform a grade level III piece accurately (correct rhythm, articulation,style, etc.)
3) Students will practice dynamic contrast in relation to music and conductor during warm up
4) Students will integrate knowledge of dynamic appropriatness into concert repitoire
5) Students will perform in concerts throughout the year where they will demonstrate knowlege of dynamics
