What auxillary equiptment is available for each instrumentalist and how do we utilize these?(ie. different types of mallets and their use, different hardness of reeds, and different size mouthpieces, etc)

Students will rehearse with the full ensemble 2-3 times per week: During this rehearsal, students will adjust own playing to:
Ensemble balance
Conductor/ensemble communication
Phrasing
elements of form
historical content of music
Awareness and reaction to conductor's style
Function on ones' own part in an ensemble (melody,accompianiment)



At each rehearsal, students will actively participate in discussions on:
Ensemble balance
Conductor/ensemble communication
Phrasing
elements of form
historical content of music
Awareness and reaction to conductor's style
Function on ones' own part in an ensemble (melody,accompianiment)
and how to appropriately adjust these musical concepts within the ensemble.
