Advanced care and use of the video camera is reviewed and enhanced.

How are shots for particular needs including, but not limited to, over the shoulder, composing, tight, establishing and action shots set up.

Students in Broadcast Production Technology will develop the ability to:

--Demonstarte advanced use and care of the video camera,

--Implement general planning of productions and how to gear productions towards the intended audience,

--Use and read a light meter,

--Compensate for different lighting conditions,

--Use natural light in a production and what its limitations are,

--Set up for and use supplied lighting,

--Relay a feeling through camera angles,

--Set up basic audio for a shot.





All students will:
--Be given detailed instruction on the video camera.

--Be instructed in the use of cameras in different situations.

--Be able to compare how different camera angles affect the mood of a production.

--Be able to read and understand a light meter and compensate for varied lighting conditions.

--Be given instructions to record basic sound along with the video in a production.



The student will be able to demonstrate how to properly use and care for a video camera.

The student will demonstrate an understatnding of the various controls and functions of the supplied video camera.

The student will be able to describe and demonstrate the difference between wide, close, over the shoulder and establishing shots.

The student will be able to demonstrate how to compensate for different light situations and conditions.
