one’s own.
Identify characteristics which may affect the choice of a roommate.
Be aware of the importance of good nutrition upon growth, development,
appearance, and performance.
Realize the necessity of choosing foods according to their nutritional
contributions.
Plan nutritious meals and snacks using the Food Guide Pyramid.
Analyze nutritional labeling, unit pricing and other label information to choose
the best food values.
Identify factors which influence clothing selection.
Recognize methods of effectively caring for clothes.
Perform simple hand sewing and mending.
Recognize the characteristics of a healthy relationship.
Recognize emotional health needs, manage and cope accordingly, and locate resources.
Follow the necessary steps to resolve conflict.
Be able to effectively communicate by being assertive.
Recognize the signs of unsafe behaviors while using the Internet.
