You have completed the study of weather. High and low temperatures, as well as weather conditions for your specific city, were collected daily. Use your knowledge of the interaction of weather systems to create a weather report for your city.

You are the meteorologist for the local TV station in your city. It is your job to write a script and give the weather report for the 6:00am news.

TV viewers getting ready to start their day

You will show your knowledge of weather by writing a script and preparing a weather map for your assigned city

1. Review your monthly data collection sheets and select a day which you would like to do a weather report on.
2. Create a weather report data sheet which includes the following:
a. Location
b. Date of weather forecast
c. High and Low temperature
d. Weather conditions including: Cloud cover, Precipitation, Barometric pressure, Wind speed, Frontal system
3. Use all of the information from the Weather Report Data Sheet to write a TV meterorologist's script (called copy) for the day's weather forecast. Be sure you look at the days preceding your forecast so that you can report on the changes in weather patterns.
4. Draw a weather map to accompany your written copy. The map must include:
A. General Information
Your state, country, or province and the surrounding borders (land and/or water)
Your city, the capitol city (if applicable), and 5 other major cities
Major bodies of water
Major land formations
B. Weather information for your city
High and low temperature
Weather conditions including: Cloud cover, Precipitation, Barometric pressure, Wind speed, Frontal system
C. Map format
Each map must be completely labeled, colorful, neat, accurate
