Welcome to Woodstock Academy!

Thank you for your interest in our academic and co-curricular programs, student support services and residential life programs. Founded in 1801, the Academy is an independent, co-educational, college preparatory high school, grades 9 through 12.  

Qualities most often referenced by students, parents, or alumni about the Academy include:

  • FACULTY — Faculty members are dedicated and committed to the educational enterprise of teaching, mentoring, coaching and counseling. They strive to connect with every student offering challenging educational environments where creativity and individual talents are encouraged.
  • ACADEMIC PROGRAM — the Academy’s academic program of six core disciplines fully prepare students for higher education, a unique, comprehensive Fine Arts component allowing flexibility of choice with respect to nearly one third of the courses required for graduation.
  • ATHLETICS — Home of the “CENTUARS”­—scholar athletes pursue their academic and athletic goals, learn teamwork skills designed to develop a sense of pride and success.

The best way to learn about the multi-faceted education and community life in northeastern Connecticut is to schedule a visit to our campus for a tour and interview.  We do realize that, at times, it is not possible to visit, if so, we will be happy to arrange a Skype interview.  Spending time on our website, reviewing the different programs and opportunities is a great way to begin the process. You may also download our application from our Admissions section of the website to review and once filled out; you may mail it to our Admissions Office.
