Career & Technical Education
Career and Technical education is a program of study intended to aid students with skill development which will be vital to those students who plan to attend college or pursue the work field immediately upon high school graduation. Local businesses regularly contact the Academy regarding employment opportunities on a part-time and full-time basis. The department is presently working with community colleges in conjunction with Tech Prep Programs. All students, college prep as well as non-college students, may benefit from business and computer courses as an aid in making career choices and providing skill development.
TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION is a program of study intended to help our nation’s youth become “technology literate.” Courses in TECH ED can also serve the purpose of helping students make better career choices and to provide skill training. Skill development remains an important consideration for all students, college prep as well as non-college bound students.
