FBLA Competes in Connecticut State Competiton

On Monday, April 2, 2012, Woodstock Academy Future Business Leaders of America competed at the state competition held in Cromwell, CT.

With over 800 Connecticut students in attendance, Senior Eric Glinsky took 1st place in Computer Problem Solving, Sophomore Stephanie Marasco took 3rd place in Public Speaking, and the team of Megan Torcellini and Shannon Darby took 3rd place in Desktop Publishing.

This is the first time in Academy history that our FBLA students have competed at the state level.

As a result of winning first place in the Computer Problem Solving event, Eric has been invited to represent the state of Connecticut at the national FBLA competition in San Antonio, Texas this June!  He will be competing with students from all over the country.

If you see Wambui  Gatheru, Eric Glinsky, Shannon Darby, Megan Torcellini, Stepahnie Marasco, Canyon Hopkins, or Roosevelt Sowter, please compliment them all on a job well done!
