The idea was to help local families in a way that resulted in positive change. With the Headmaster's approval and support of faculty, staff and students, Aideen along with a committee of friends, including her sister Ciera, a Sophomore, and friend Erica Martin, a Junior, the Dance-a-thon was set in motion.

Working with Patricia Hedenberg, Appeals and Events Manger for Day Kimball Healthcare, it was decided the money raised would be donated to two patients undergoing treatment for cancer at Day Kimball Hospital.

From 3 p.m. to midnight the Alumni Fieldhouse was filled with teenagers, food, music and lots of fun. By the end of the evening $6,000. was raised.

Aideen and Erica recieved The Champion of the Human Spirit Award from Day Kimball Hospital.
