Valedictorian and Salutatorian - Class of 2012

Woodstock Academy's Class of 2012 Valedictorian is Ian Sorensen and Jeremy Geragotelis is the Salutatorian.

 

Ian Sorenson is a member of Student Council, Latin Honor Society, National Honor Society, Science Olympiad, and has been a member of the YMCA's swim club for over eight years. He will be attending the University of Connecticut and will major in biology. Ian's focus is working toward a career as a scientific researcher, specifically stem cell research for cancer treatments. He lives in Woodstock with his parents, Jeffrey and Anne Sorensen, and his brother Brent, a sophomore at the Academy.

Jeremy Geragotelis is an active member of Woodstock Academy's music and theater program. He is a member of The Hill Singers, National Honor Society, Latin Honor Society, and Tri-M Chapter 2694. Jeremy has also participated in a number of community theater companies such as the Bradley Playhouse and The Complex Performing Arts Centre of Putnam, as well as The Little Theatre on Broad Street, Killingly. Jeremy will be attending Bennington College and with a double major in English literature and theater. First Jeremy has his sights on Broadway as a playwright and then hopes to take his experience in theater to the classroom as a high school English teacher. Jeremy has already had two original works produced by Eastern Connecticut State University's Drama Society. Currently, The Complex Performing Arts Centre of Putnam has two more of his original works in production. Jeremy lives in Canterbury with his parents, Nicholas and Mary Geragotellis, along with his brother Andrew, Woodstock Academy Class of 2009.
