Bracken Memorial Library

Bracken Memorial Library serves as both the high school library for Woodstock Academy and as one of the four public libraries in the town of Woodstock. Town patrons are welcome at the library during all hours that the library is open, including during the school day.
If you have not been here in awhile, stop by and see all of the changes. We have a new community room, which includes a children’s area, our Great Authors Collection, and our selection of recent adult fiction.

General Information
Library Cards: Library cards can be obtained by any resident of the town of Woodstock. These cards can also be used to check out books at any public library in Connecticut. If you are not from Woodstock, you must get a library card from the library in the town in which you live. This card can then be used at Bracken Memorial Library as well as in all public libraries in Connecticut.
Lending Policy:  Books and non-current periodicals can be borrowed for a period of two weeks. Renewals are permitted as long as there is no waiting list. Reference books, such as encyclopedias, do not circulate. Books that are not available in the library may be able to be obtained through inter-library loan.
Computer Resources: The library currently offers 42 computers for patron use. They all have Internet access as well as Microsoft Office and a wide array of electronic research tools. Access to many online periodicals, journals, and newspapers are available for use in the library and from home.
