Bracken Memorial Library serves as the library for The Woodstock Academy as well as one of the four public libraries in the town of Woodstock. Town patrons are welcome at the library during public hours.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we ask that patrons wear a mask & practice social distancing when visiting or request curbside service by contacting us.
Library Cards & Lending
Residents of Woodstock may get a library card from any of the four Woodstock libraries. Library cards may be used to check out books and other materials from any library in the state of Connecticut. Residents must have a library card to check materials out from Bracken Memorial Library. If we do not have the books, or other materials, that you are looking for, we can request them from other libraries in Connecticut through inter-library loans. Students do not need a library card to borrow materials from the library.
The library currently offers desktop computers for patron use. They all have Internet access as well as Microsoft Office and a wide array of research tools. Access to many online periodicals, journals, and newspapers are available for use in the library and from home.
