• How is the decision made?

    1. Road conditions -- careful consideration is given to roads in the district with the most hazardous conditions. Even if your street looks clear, travel elsewhere in the towns may be dangerous.
    2. The existing accumulation of snow and/or ice.
    3. The rate and expected duration of the precipitation.
    4. School parking lot conditions. School building conditions (such as electricity and heat).
    5. Weather predictions.
    6. We also consult our sending town superintendents.

    Who makes the decision?

The Head of School is responsible for the final decision, based on the above factors and recommendations from sending towns.

    When is the decision made?

The goal is to make the decision by 5:30 a.m. or earlier.

How will the schedule be altered if there is a cancellation, delay, or early release?

Should a cancellation occur, the Day A/Day B schedule will remain the same, skipping the missed day.
