At A Glance
The Woodstock Academy is an independent day and boarding, co-educational, college preparatory high school for grades 9-12 and postgraduates.
We offer day and boarding students extensive programs in academics, arts, and athletics, supported by state-of-the-art facilities in our STEAM Center and Loos Center for the Arts. Here, the school day is rounded out with dozens of clubs, athletic teams, and performing arts programs, in addition to field trip and travel opportunities. While we are nestled in the idyllic rolling hills of Connecticut's "Quiet Corner," we're also located just one hour from Boston and three hours from New York.
TRAVEL OPPORTUNITIES
Each year, The Woodstock Academy offers several opportunities for students to travel internationally and within the U.S. Recent destinations include Spain, Peru, Italy, Senegal, Greece, Germany, Switzerland, Quebec, Orlando, Seattle, and Washington, DC.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING
The Woodstock Academy offers opportunities for English Language Learners (ELL) to advance their English language skills and prepare for courses taught in English.
IN THE CLASSROOM
Last year, The Woodstock Academy administered 327 AP Exams
- 68% scored a 3 or higher
- 54 were AP Scholars
157 Academy students took advantage of UCONN ECE (University of Connecticut Early College Experience) courses, earning 1240 credit hours, and placing The Woodstock Academy in one of the Top Ten UCONN ECE schools in Connecticut.
In 2022, Academy students also earned credit in math & liberal arts through Eastern Connecticut State University, saving over $700,000 in future tuition costs.

LIVING ON CAMPUS
Boarding students at The Woodstock Academy live alongside dorm parents and their families in one of three residence halls on South Campus. Our incredible ResLife staff provide a range of evening and weekend activities and celebrations to help students feel at home and allow them to enjoy the local community. The Woodstock Academy offers full and 5-day boarding opportunities.
