Hall of Fame Inductees

Award Criteria

The Athletic Hall of Fame honors outstanding contributions to Woodstock Academy athletics in the following categories:

Athletes: Nominees must have graduated at least 10 years ago and participated in WA athletics for a minimum of two years. They should have demonstrated exceptional athletic ability, leadership, and sportsmanship.

Coaches: Nominees must have coached at WA for at least five (5) seasons, with at least five (5) years since their last coaching season. They would have made significant contributions to athletics and demonstrated outstanding character and leadership.

Athletic Directors: Nominees must have served as WA’s Athletic Director for at least five (5) years, and be at least five (5) years beyond their employment at The Woodstock Academy, ending their tenure in good standing. Their leadership should have advanced WA athletics and inspired excellence among athletes and teams.

Teams: The majority of the nominated team would have graduated from The Woodstock Academy, and the youngest team member is at least five (5) years beyond graduation. Nominated teams should have achieved significant athletic accomplishments, such as conference, state, or division championship success for at least two seasons, and exhibited strong character and sportsmanship.

Boosters & Benefactors: Nominees should have made substantial contributions of time, talent, or resources to the athletic program, positively impacting the WA community and athletics.

Past Inductees

The first inaugural class of the Hall of Fame was inducted in the fall of 2012. Seven individuals and one team were recognized for their outstanding contributions to The Woodstock Academy's athletic program. A banquet honoring them was held at The Academy and all inductees were enshrined on a Hall of Fame Walk of Fame located in the Hyde Building.
