2026 Woodstock Academy Senior Athletics Awards Night

The Woodstock Academy Senior Athletics Awards night was held at the Loos Center for the Arts Monday night.

The highlight of the event is always the unveiling of the Outstanding Senior Athletes of the Year and the Class of 2026 saw three athletes earn that distinction with Alec Nunes, Kaylee Saucier and Isabel D’Alleva-Bochain all receiving a cup significant of the honor.

Saucier scored 985 career points in basketball which she will move on to continue to play at the University of Hartford in the fall.

She also finished with 112 goals and 40 assists in girls lacrosse and was more of a distributor and defensive standout during her four years with the soccer program.

“It’s always super special (to get an award like this) especially getting it with Izzy and Alec. I’ve been so close with Izzy the last four years and grew up with Alec. I’m happy to get it with them,” Saucier said. “I’m going to miss being a student here a ton. I’ve grown up here and been here even without being a student and sports, especially, have been very meaningful to me.:

D’Alleva-Bochain excelled in basketball, cross-country and track at the Academy.

She scored 925 career points for the Centaurs on the hardwood.

She also completed a goal recently when she won the javelin competition at the Class MM state championship track and field meet for a third year in a row.

She also placed eighth in the ECC and ninth in Class MM in cross-country as a junior.

“It’s great,” D’Alleva-Bochain said of sharing the award with Saucier and Nunes. “I kind of knew it would either be one of my friends or me so I was going to be a winner regardless and it was nice to see Kaylee and Alec get it too.”

D’Alleva-Bochain moves on to attend Brown University where she does plan to participate in the track and field program.

Nunes reeled in a team-best 46 passes for 629 yards and scored three touchdowns for the Centaurs football team. He was also the fourth-leading rusher on the team and was one of the leading tacklers on the defensive side. His efforts on the gridiron earned him Eastern Connecticut Conference All-League status.

“My highlight of all four years probably was being captain of the football team this fall. It was one of the best seasons I’ve had in sports,” said Nunes.

Nunes also played basketball and golf for the Centaurs and will continue his education at Bentley University.
