Match 2: NFA prevails over Centaurs

Norwich Free Academy made a wet and cold afternoon even more inhospitable as it handed the Centaurs a 9-7 loss on South Campus.

The Centaurs fought back from a 5-3 deficit in the second half as Eliza Dutson and Shannon Gagnon both scored their second goals of the game to tie it and a Rachel Canedy tally with 13:12 left briefly put Woodstock Academy ahead.

NFA tied the game 17 seconds later on a goal by Lauren Friedrich and went ahead to stay with 5:15 to play on a goal by Hannah Vega.

Two more NFA goals shut the door on Woodstock Academy's hopes.

Stella Brin scored with 1:11 to play to account for the final.
