December 2022 Alumni Spotlight
Hometown: Brooklyn, CT
Currently Living in: Ashland, MA
WA Class of: 2000
Best WA Memory: It’s a tie between Varsity Baseball and the production of “Guys & Dolls” my senior year.
Favorite Teacher: I had a lot of great teachers over the years. Let’s go with my top 3: Mr. Musko (theatre), Mr. Telford (English), and Dr. Powers (English).
After Graduation: I enrolled at Assumption College in Worcester and graduated in 2004 with a degree in history. WA encouraged me to expand my comfort zone and make myself as well-rounded as possible. During my time at Assumption, I participated in intramural sports, was active in student government, and even served as the college’s mascot for a couple years.
Today: I’m an insurance consultant with Brown & Brown of MA. I partner with organizations to develop benefit programs for their employees (medical, dental, life/disability insurance, etc.).
WA Takeaways: I learned to get involved and push myself. Most limits are self-imposed. It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you believe in yourself.
Advice for Future Centaurs: Don’t think twice, just enroll. Thank me later. 😊
