Future Plans Day

On Thursday, May 30, we will be celebrating our senior class! Seniors are encouraged to wear a t-shirt or sweatshirt representing their plan for the future, whether they are headed to the military, college, or the workforce. Students who don't have a shirt dedicated to their future plans are invited to make one that is school-appropriate.

There will be a group photo at 11:45 a.m. outside of the Bowen Building and a photo booth set up in the Founder's Court during community lunch for seniors to enjoy with their classmates.

Future Plans Survey

Seniors must complete the 2024 Future Plans Survey as it officially documents their plans for next year. If your student plans to attend college, the survey also gives us the information we need to send their final transcripts. Please note that this survey is different from the scholarship survey.

How to access the survey:

  1. Go to www.woodstockacademy.org
  2. Click on the menu button – check the bottom of the menu to be sure you are logged in
  3. Click on “For Students”
  4. Once on the WA Dashboard, click on “Naviance”
  5. Once on Naviance, click on the “About Me” tab at the top right of the page
  6. Under “Surveys” click on “Surveys from Your School”
  7. Click on “2024 Senior Future Plans Survey”

If your student is attending college, please click on the school they will be attending and where they would like their transcript sent. If you plan to enter the military after graduating, please email Mrs. Giamundo (dgiamundo@woodstockacademy.org) to let her know which branch. If you need assistance or have questions, your student's school counselor is happy to help!

NGSS Testing for Juniors

On Wednesday, May 29, juniors who took a science class in the spring, or who missed the testing date in February, will take the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) science test on their iPads. This test is required by the state of Connecticut for all juniors. It will take most students one class period to complete. Students should review their email from Dr. Harten this week to see their block and room assignment for May 29 testing.

Good luck, Juniors!

Please contact Dean of Academics, Dr. Michael Harten (mharten@woodstockacademy.org), or Science and Math Department Chair, Mr. Thomas Young (tyoung@woodstockacademy.org) with any questions.

Homework-Free Weekend

Throughout the year, we designate homework-free weekends for our students to relax, rejuvenate, and spend time with loved ones. We encourage you to take advantage of the beautiful weather and enjoy Memorial Day weekend!
