Weekly Update 09/13/24
Weekly Announcements: September 9-13
Family Night
On Thursday, September 19 from 5:45* - 7:15 p.m., we are hosting our first semester Family Night and invite you to join us! The primary purpose of this evening is to introduce family members to their student's teachers and first-semester courses. Teachers will give a brief description of their courses and answer questions regarding requirements, standards, and expectations of student performance.
*Please note the slight time adjustment from the original invitation.
Your Student's Schedule
Please follow your child’s Day A Schedule for the evening. Students with study halls will have a free block; administrators and guidance will be available in the Bowen Building foyer. As a reminder, your student's schedule can be found in PowerSchool.
Arranging Meetings with Teachers
Family members who would like to arrange virtual or in-person meetings at another time are encouraged to contact the teacher directly.
South Campus Class Locations
To facilitate the evening, all classes will be held on North Campus. Please find the block and teacher’s name on the chart linked below to find your student’s South Campus location on North Campus.
Please take a look at the full schedule and don't hesitate to contact us with any questions. See you there!
Suicide Prevention Bulletin
As suicide remains a critical concern for young people, their families, and their communities, we are sharing a resource that was developed through a collaborative effort among the Department of Children and Families, the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Office of Child Advocate, the Department of Public Health, the State Department of Education, and the Governor's Office. The content includes information on suicide, helpful tips to support people of all ages, and where to go for additional support and resources. There are also numerous mental health resources available at The Woodstock Academy for students needing support.
