Week 3: Centaurs return from New York with 2 ties

The boys prep soccer team had a pretty even weekend at the Next Level Showcase in Albany, N.Y.

The Centaurs (3-1-2) returned with a pair of ties.

On Sunday, Woodstock Academy battled to a 2-2 deadlock with Western Reserve Academy.

Javier Menendez was credited with the first goal for the Centaurs when he sent a free kick into the area and the ball was accidentally headed in by a Western Reserve defender.

Lucas Basmadjian scored off an assist from Juanjo Menendez to put the Centaurs up, 2-1, but Western Reserve tallied with seven minutes left to earn the tie.

Woodstock Academy and RMPUS out of Montreal battled to a scoreless tie on Saturday.
